Looks like the conditions Saturday for the tourney will be challenging:) Overcast, windy and cool. Hope to see some bow-siters !

What is the report? are the carp spawning or are we gambling? I have the weekend but may not make the trip if carp are not up in the shallows. I may have to go to gopher hunting, or to the trad shoot in Bonners Ferry. Help me decide what I am doing.

I'll go over early tomorrow and check water levels on the inlets that were dry two weeks ago. They are usually starting by this weekend.......at least for the last four years that I've attended. I think it could be better if it were held a couple weeks later but it's still a blast.
With a low of 43 degrees, it will be an eye opener to wade into the lake at 6:00 a.m.

It wasn't a great day for bow fishing on Saturday with very low tallies but the die-hards still managed to stack up a few in the dumpster.......

What a difference a day makes! The day AFTER the tourney on Sunday we returned to the very same spots and shot around 60 carp between the two of us......or maybe it was Jimmy's lucky carp safari shirt he bought at the banquet:)
