I am looking for info/recommendations for lodging in Unit 1. I drew a late rifle tag (December 1-7) and will have a couple friends accompanying me on the trip. I have a small wall tent but things could get cramped with 3 of us so we are looking at the possibilities of a motel or cabin to rent.
I realize it is a rifle hunt but if anyone would like to visit with me or give me any pointers on Unit 1 it would be appreciated as well.

Call the rv park in Alpine and see if they have something.

Could be mighty cold and snowy in Dec. I would look for the motel, or rent a motorhome.

That's what I'm thinking Coyote. With 3 of us chipping in we could make it affordable.

No matter where you decide to stay you should not wait to make a reservation because others will book up whatever is available. The law of supply and demand kicks in bigtime on those general hunts with lots of tags.
