Just wondering if anyone has any cams hung and any recent pics of some bucks.. what are there racks looking like right now growth wise??
I checked a cameras last week. I had 4 bucks with racks out to the tips of there ears. You can definitely get an idea what's around now
Just checked the cams in the back of my property and I had 3 different bucks. 2 young guys and one that has a nice rack going. I'll post pics after work. I haven't checked my state land cams in about a month but last time I had a few bucks just starting to grow and a really nice bobcat pic
Oh crow, there you go trying trick us. Mountain lions are extinct along with the wooly mammoth and sabre tooth tiger, even though there have been several reports of all three animals being spotted in Bridgeport and New Haven areas. Nice try though ;)

This one is going to be a nice one. He was pretty nice last season.
Grizzly they look pretty similar hopefully they turn out to be two nice bucks.
Love it! Keep em coming. How to post some this weekend.
Awesome guys. It's nice to see the progression. I always wonder "how are there racks looking now"?? Nice pics!!!!
Last one looks spotted almoat like an axis deer. Cool
Putting out 12 camera's next week. Hopefully I got a few Hit Lister's to chase in September
Love watching them grow, not very thick but descent spread. U
Just checked my camera this weekend and got these bucks. These are my first pics ever of bucks just growing antlers and in velvet. Is there any way to age these bucks right now and can you tell by the racks in velvet how big they will get? I am still learning about deer, I am just glad I got these pics.

here's a cool video of that buck i posted above
Amazing how different the bucks look when not in rut.

Not a trail cam, but a photo I took yesterday morning.
He is coming regular. Looks like he will be a 8 pt with a drop tine.
Day light pics are always welcome

Two Bucks
Two Bucks
Got 10 trail cameras out last week, got some Bucks on my Cellular Camera today.
Looks like you might have a good year Wilber and nehunter!! Nice pics guys
Awesome guys and nice pics. I'm going to hang the cam this week so I'm looking forward to get back out scouting again. I try not to go there as I already have the deer pinned down. It's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time and making sure I'm up to par with my equipment.
I think he's mocking me, check out his tongue lol
I have had one of those mocking tongue sticking bucks. Finally got the drop on him after 2 months of chasing.
Bear heading to the Apple Tree. He broke most of the branches off already, to lazy to wait for them to fall.
Some nice looking bucks there. Wish I checked my cams more than once a month. Bet I got some crankers on them. Come on rain!
All I get these days is this same Bear using up my battery and cell pic allotment! Man we need a season soon, they are ruining my hunting spots.
My son caught this bass by hand while hanging our cameras. I didn't believe him when he said that a 2lb bass was in the stream, my bad lol
Know you know to bring a bass rod when deer hunting..lol
I never would have thought a bass would be in that trickle..... memory made
Got this any ideas? Chupacabra?
The rare and elusive stink eye puckered chupey....youre very fortunate to have captured one on film..id go to yales school of anthropology and show them your prized possion...really....lol
My drop guy is coming along nice.
That drop is ridiculous. It's my dream to take a buck with a double. Someone on here posted a pic of sheds they had found of matching tines and they were gorgeous. Looks like he's growing well Wilbur. And swk that's a beautiful buck.. I like the straight on pic.
Planted my food plot yesterday where Goat Freak hangs. I'll wait a couple weeks and hang a camera.
"My drop guy is coming along nice."
Is it just me, or does his brows look pornographic? Gives a new meaning to horn porn. Instead of "drop guy", you should call him double dong.
Goat freak
Goat freak
Brother
Brother
OMG goat freak.. r u serious.. I got some weird obsession with him..lol.. he's a big mature buck with that super funky rack.. can't wait to see what he looks like this year. I took this pic of his brother last year!!!
Shawn, I'm not even going to ask why you keep a live goat in your truck
Youre a strange little feller....lol
No this is not my goat. I stopped at the store to get gas and I seen this guy.. I had to take a pic!
Rrrrriiiiiigggggghhhhhttttt.......and a these *$#?& are for my friend.
Ohhhh, kkkkkk. I got it, yeah sure, that's it, not your goat, just happened by one in some else's truck, sure, happens all the time. Right!
Suuure and unicorns fart skittles..lol
Hey if that was mine I would be happy to say so. It's a dream as a broke man to own a truck and hell if you want to throw a goat in the back I'll gladly take him to.. love animals and the farm life..
Starting to get a bunch of day light pics of the drop tine. If he keeps this up I may get a whack at him. Time stamp is an hour ahead.
Wilbur - great looking buck! Better start buying some sleeping pills so you don't stay up at night thinking about this guy!
I'd let em go another year........not
Ya me too,at least another year..that would be a management buck on some hunting shows...lol
if he walks by me we won't be walking .LOL
What a brut... seems like you know where he's been hanging out. I'd say he's on the list!!
Finally got some decent rain so I could pull a few cards. A few pics of some nice ones.
Awesome buck there Wilbur, hope you get a crack at him!
Grizz that bottom one almost looks like mine
Riding around yesterday i noticed some bucks had their velvet rubbed off already..early?
notme - It's not too early to see bucks with the velvet rubbed off. I've seen them in Aug many times and then again I've seen bucks with velvet in late Sept, but that was rare.
AP0 - that's a fat deer! What are you using for bait, cases of beer? :) As my dad used to say "Look at the arse on him!"
how high is that camera ?? nice buck
Steve if you stand on ruts shoulders you might be able to reach it ...
Hey Dave if you just want to type in the GPS coordinates to those deer pics I'd appreciate it.. :)
Shawn he only posted a couple Lol
This one is mine he is there for the last 3 years and disappears just befor opening day then doesn't come back till I think dec 21 ? The same day 2 years in a row but only about 4 daylight Dave is the only one to put a eyeball on him he is smart he is st the zoo
Steve,He hasnt matched wits with me dude..show me where hes at and ill baffle him with stupidity and nonsense...lol
Nice pics guys.. still waiting on those coordinates..lol.. all the buck pics I got last year were during late Oct through late December.. it must be a rut spot because the only pics I got now are of does and yotes. Boy am I getting excited..
Awesome deer guys. I hope you all see your bucks on stand. I've been chasing this one for 3 years. He's old.

Wow what a rack.. don't get much bigger than that in ct
How do I delete the first post with on pic? Sorry for the double post. Fat fingers on my cell!
Not a big deal.. just waiting for Dave to post some more monsters!!
I know not a ct deer but on our Illinois farm.
Sorry Shawn haven't checked cams in a little bit, been working round the clock. Hoping I'll get a chance on Friday
illi - DAMN!!! Can I be your new best friend?

ty - another hog! Big looking body, loose skin on the neck. Oh yeah, nice rack too.
Alright back to ct..lol.. I just grabbed the cam and got my first buck pic...
Now shawn, the rest of us are interested in the rack, however it appears you're interested in the other end,.......for some reason. Please don't share why :)
Lol bbb.. I only got two pics of him and your gonna laugh about the other one.. I'll post it shortly..

Nope. Pulled my cameras and got nothing. Needed to format my SD cards. Putting them back out today.
OK bbb here you go... I only got two pics in this spot and here is the first.. I just can't win!!!
Dont you hate this...?!!. So today we pulled a cam at a stand that last year wasnt great, didnt take a deer there and overall very little activity....until we stopped hunting uhg!
The five
The five
The eight
The eight
So last year before my cam got stolen I had some nice pics of two bucks.. it was early rut and one was a four point and one was a huge eight. Well I just grabbed the cam and I got em again. Same spot middle of the day.. I'm counting down the hrs..lol.. here's a pic of the four that is now a five and here's the eight

That's a massive buck nehunter.. wow.. I just found the pics.. here's the pics of the four and eight
nehunter - I can see why you're so upset about the number of bears in your hunting area.
Nehunter where do you live.. I'm guessing northwestern CT.. those bucks and bears look like there coning from big wooded areas. I say that because a buck that big and with all those bears I can't imagine it being anywhere else.
Not sure what was in the water this spring/summer, but on both the MA and CT pages, looking at the trail cam threads... I dont think I've ever seen as many mature bucks or even just really solid rack bucks. Seriously, has anyone seen a spike this year ;)!?
New Spot with two cubs, they love BBj2
The 3 cubs all tuckered out and sleeping.
Cubs fighting/playing. They were here for two hours and almost 5 days straight. 3000 pictures taken.
The GPS Doe and fawn smelling the Bears, they never came back - 2 weeks.
RUT I hope that buck likes to travel ,LOL
Ha !! Hopefully it gets to travel in the back of my truck.Be about 3 miles to your spot Steve.
sorry for the double post
Wilbur do you have any pics of goat freak??
Nehunter -Great photos of the bear family. What camera are you using?
Gene... All Browning no glow or flash . Animals don't hear or see the camera go off.
The Bears will chew them if they flash.
Silverado, it's actually 3 different bucks.
Silverado, it's actually 3 different bucks.
How many different bucks?
nehunter - thanks for the response. I have an older Moultrie camera which I know the deer and bear must hear or see as they sometimes are looking at it or sticking their nose in it. Also, it has a slow reaction time as I get a lot of rump shots or empty shots. It's time for replacement.
Rut the second pic with the date of 8/27 looks to be a very young deer
New to the forum, but have been lurking for a long time now :)
Rut - May I ask the town or general area of those trail cam pics? One of the bucks looks familiar (the one with the short g4's)
Do you guys normally still see velvet on these bucks once the season opens in a couple weeks?
Most of mine lose it before the season starts. Shot one 15 years ago with velvet hanging off.
From my experience the week before opening day they seem to strip the velvet off. I haven't seen one still in velvet after the 18th. With this cold weather they might be striping it off a little sooner.
I agree with travistroop not many in velvet after the 15TH NEHUNT what town do you hunt ? Steve
Travis for the most part your right but each deer has its own individual time frame Every now and then you get a chance at a velvet buck. This buck still had his velvet a week after the season started. I ended up shooting him in Dec
NeHunt, the buck is located in Fairfield county.
From yesterday morning. Hope it continues to hang around during daylight.
Thanks for the other views of that deer Rut - both are in fairfield county - g1's definitely look different from the one i have on camera. hope you get him!
Also, thanks for the info on velvet guys! I was surprised to see so many with it still on so close to season.
Nice buck rut. Looks like your on to a couple of monsters there.. keep those cams up and hit it hard opening day.. there won't be much scent and he won't see it coming. I notice the numbers are staggering on the first three days. Last year opening day which was my first day hunting ever I shot a spike and missed a doe. And then on my third day I killed a doe.
The big brow buck is looking a bit nicer, and this heavy eight point looks pretty good as well. Got a bigger one on the cam but just some blurry pics. All daytime pics. I usually don't hunt these big ones until november, but I'm getting very tempted with these guys. They are pretty consistently out every day wandering around.
Al, Go get em! Nice G2's!
Silverado - DUDE! A hog and he's out during the day. Good luck on him this year!!
hey al I think we might have the same deer on camera
4 does and 2 fawns in food plot
I know it's not ct but who doesn't like to look at big bucks. He's got two small drop tines too.

Illinois deer are like fish from a boat, it's to easy so it doesn't count :) (KIDDING!!!!!!!)
Awesome looking bucks, does and fawns folks!
Thanks BBB. Hopefully he continues his pattern.
Velvet is gone. Only small 1.5 year olds have velvet.
@Nehunter Same problem with bears - sooooooo need a season
Already chewed one cam this year
Wow!! Nehunter where is that stud from?
Landowner flipped out when I showed him this Bear picture. His daughter was playing with my camera only a few hours before.
Big bear. Wow we really do need a hunting season and soon b4 it's too late.
Silverado, I delete Bear camera pictures like they are Does. Every camera I have in the woods get a Bear pic.
Nice crab claws on that ten nehunter.. would love to take a shot at that!!
September 9, about 4:30PM, somewhere on state land off RT42, that was me on your camera close to your ladder stand facing uphill. I climb near that spot, so, first come first stay, agreed?
Took a hike yesterday afternoon to an area close to home. Found a great run that was down to the dirt, through the leaves. I may head out this weekend for quick morning hunt to see what's a around. NW corner I leave alone till just before the rut.
Good luck Bob, I spend a lot of time in the Sharon area. Great bucks around just not nearly the number of deer as years ago. Good luck my friend!
Who was that to wild Bill???
Pat said this was a big draw for out of state Lookers. All pictures are from SE corner of CT.
Thanks, but we all know there really from the NE part.
This guy is NE CT
Hopefully he's in my freezer soon!
I am superstitious about sharing trail cam pictures before the season opens. I just assume it will jinx any shot I have at the deer during season. Season is over so it doesn't really matter now. Never got a look at him, maybe next year. Anyone else teased by pictures of a deer you never saw?
Ignore the date on pictures by the way.
