I have fished here but never got to hunt it until this year...was wondering how the deer population is here

Like the rest of macoupin mostly wooded. Ten miles from my house. Dont hunt there.

A little over 400 acres surrounding a lake. Permit only 5 hunters a week. Too late to apply. Contact office to see if unused permits avsilable. Mature oak forest

Rend lake has some great areas and no permits . State land has different regs than corps land which has none at all. Heavy deer population. Hint. Dont hunt from parking lots. Second hint bring a bike for bike trails.
