I took my 7 year old daughter to the range last night and we had fun as usual. She told me afterwards that she would be interested in taking shooting lessons.
Any recommendations for a good place to go? Or a good shooting coach? We're still early in the process so I'm just looking for someone to spend an hour or two with her to show her some basics like proper form. We can always go to our local archery shop but I'm wondering if there are better ideas out there.

I've heard good things about High Altitude Archery in Longmont. Not sure if that is near enough to where you are.

We are in Littleton, by Santa Fe and C470. It would be best if there is something fairly close, within 20-30 minutes.

Rmsgear, think they charge $40ish for an hour lesson and they do both modern and trad. And y'all can take the lesson together for that price I'm pretty sure! 303-421-2259 877-843-5559

Thanks for the suggestions, I will go with one of those two as I've heard good things about them both before.

Vids, can you teach her to shoot? Seems you hunt and shoot a lot of archery.

I have been shooting archery for over 20 years and I've provided some instruction to her. However, I find that kids often learn better when it's someone other than mom or dad doing the teaching. I am going to sign her up for the Intro to Archery class at Bear Creek next weekend, it's a one time deal for only $20 so we'll go from there. I'll attend with her and help reinforce the lessons learned after that.
Until recently it's just been ballet and piano, so I'm just excited that she now has interest in something dad really enjoys. :)
