Most farmers i know only kill doe maybe a button buck or 2 if they can see antlers they are usually off limits . However i have heard of bigger bucks being taken on damage permits most of that happens in late Aug or early Sept, after antlers are full grown.

I have my opinion of someone who would kill a nice buck like that. If there was really crop damage they could kill does.

I do too. They use crop damage as an excuse just to kill a buck. I've had farmers tell me they dont care what the guys shoot on the permits. As long as they kill the deer. And the farms here don't allow hunting. Pisses me

The crop damage permits are supposed to specify if it can be used on a buck or doe.
