Unit 501 help

I drew a limited archery tag for Unit 501, on the eastern edge of South Park. If anyone has any experience hunting this unit, please share. My buddy and I plan to hunt mainly in the Lost Creek Wilderness, but it is huge. If anyone could offer some suggestions on spots to check out on foot before the season, it would be greatly appreciated.

Lived in that area for 10 years hike a lot of trails there. try the Twin Cone Peaks & Craig Creek Meadows saw elk there, that area is calving ground. good luck

IVL, we drew elk tags (guess that would have been useful info up front, ha!). Zimmy, thanks for the tip. Which trail do you recommend accessing the Craig Creek Meadows area from? Looks like a lot of vertical gain/loss from just about anywhere.
