Hi Guys, I have never hunted this unit before. I live down south near Glenwood Springs and am planning on heading up this weekend to get some boots on the ground for my first scouting trip. I have been doing some online research of water holes and what not. Was hoping someone would be willing to shoot me a PM with some general areas to start from. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

bring lots of gas, get a county road map and drive them all until you have 4 or 5 good bucks spotted then look around for water holes to sit at

Go up two track trails that follow drainages. Look for dark green low lying areas off tributaries of the drainages. The dark green grass indicates water, which is mostly seeps- not ponds and standing water. Goats use more of these seeps than ponds. Brush in a blind if the seep has water and get ready. Have had better luck in am than pm. 9am to 10am has been best for me.
