look at that ripe truck just hanging in there ... this is proof beyond doubt that gravity exists ... you needed a truck given the steep incline ... have fun ... I see a new blood trail challenge coming soon to Bowsite.com
Is that a doulie flare side? Be careful going around corners and tight streets..crew cabs are sweet..good luck with it(even though its a chevy),man i miss mine.
Nice Steve, I'll tell you my deer last season almost killed me getting it in the truck with no help . Start thinking on how a middle aged man as your self can get it done !! Lol
jrdeer - those are the cars from my era, love, love, love them. Bring back any memories of my teenage years. I have to admit the HP on the vette is amazing, but there's just something about the older cars that gets me every time.
Will - I had a carbon fiber bike. Specialized Allez. Can't ride road bikes any more due to stenosis in my neck, causing pain in my neck when I try to look bend over and look up at the road. I would ride to work, 14 miles, but had to stop with the neck problems. Used to do a lot of mountain biking. Would go to Mt Snow in Vermont and go all day. Now "going all day" means I pee all day :(
Fun stuff Bob - Snow is a fun place to ride, and back in the day when the world cup races were there it was "the" place to be on the east coast with a MTB. Bummer on the neck!
Yeah, we were up there when the women were racing and we got to see Julie Fortudo do the downhill, and man of man do they fly. I did the damage to my neck by going over the handle bars and landing square on my head, smashed my helmet and knocked myself out. Slight fracture to 2 vertebrae in my neck. Now, years later the bone healing around the fractures is causing me problems.
I rode a few laps with Julie Bob. We all thought we were hot to trot studs. Then the soft spoken super happy woman just buzzes along talking up a storm... She's definitely near the GOAT level in MTB racing.
Best part of those years was my last racing Junior. I was done, I'd raced that morning or something, and I was watching the downhill. There was a guy at the time, he was about or was the first to race NORBA downhills IN A WHEELCHAIR! He was pre riding the downhill course and just happened to stop where I was standing to check out the lines. We start talking. Just like two regular guys talking about racing. Then some old guy (was it you :) kidding!!!) comes over and just goes off about how great it is this dude is racing in a chair, would he come to a race this guy puts on yadda yadda. Just goes on and on. the guy walks away, I'm standing there sort of uncomfortable feeling - that's how overtly "HEY, LOOK AT ME, I'M TALKING TO A CRIPPLE, AM I GREAT OR WHAT" his comments were... The guy in the chair looks up at me and just goes: "FU***** AS*****". I lost it, the other folks standing near by who had heard that interaction lost it, and we all (including the guy in the chair) about died of laughter. That guy was really awesome. He rode off down the hill a few minutes later continuing his pre ride. Seeing a person ride down any sort of new england single track is impressive... But in a wheel chair... WOW!
Sorry for hijacking Steve, BBB just brought all kinds of fun memories back to me. Back to discussion of super cool cars :)
