I'm just wondering who's got their cams out looking for deer. Collin is going to put ours out down here next week when he works for the land owner again.
This is the time of year when I really start thinking strategy and planning my vacations.

I just placed some cameras out in the last week. On Thursday when I got out of the truck I thought that I heard a chainsaw but it was only the deer flies!
Last week when I placed the first camera I had put in fresh batteries. When I hung the camera I noticed that I forgot to put in a card so I had to make another trip the next day. I will wait a few weeks before checking them but it is hard to wait sometimes. Anxious to see what is hanging around.

I'll start, these are a couple pics collin took today while working for our customer at the horse farm we hunt down here. He also jumped what he said was a big buck but no chance for a pic.

These are not from my trailcams but my Nikon. Just to add some interest. Itching to get out and check cams but will wait until next weekend.

Here is another family he just saw in a different area of the farm. Eric the owner said the other day that this doe had triplets and lost a buck fawn. He found it still fresh before the coyotes got to it. It's crazy that collin got this pic because I just told Casey/Tweed the story about the dead buck fawn yesterday before work.

Awww. Now that's cute. Good thing my wife isn't looking here anymore. She'd never let me kill one again. This is a pick of two big boys I took down the street from me the other evening. Can't see them well but they're both shooters.

I put one up last week. I typically don't get really good pics until mid August. Just ordered a Browning HD pro also.

I hope to get out Monday for a scouting/cam set up trip. Will be trying a new patch of public land this year anxious to see what it has to offer.

Now that is cool Smokey! I take it that's not one of the Jackson county herd? My bill has been doing a ton of scouting and sitting in hopes of getting my nephew to see one while they are deer hunting but he cannot find them.

I've seen enough on cameras throughout July and early August to get me jacked up!

Bought a new Moultrie 888 on sale an Cabelas for $90. Put it out in a spot I opened up over the last year. The area was entangled with brush and Box Elder trees. I was surprised to see this guy on there, already in hard horn.

Nothing too exciting on my end, except for someone milestone my camera! I get that it's on public land, but someone took out my memory card and replaced it with one of theirs. Hoping he can find his way back after I took out 40 reflective thumb tacks stuck in the trees!
