Has anyone hunted the Elk creek WMA? I'm not asking for your spot just in general. What kind of terrain could an old man expect? Has anyone seen bear in area ?

I've hunted it for about 5 years now. The terrian is rough and steep, especially after some of it was logged last fall. There is a good bear population, and some nice deer on the WMA if you are willing to hike in to some remote spots.

I've been lucky enough to take a few decent deer, and missed some.

I cut quit a bit of timber in there. I saw several nice deer over that period, a bear, and lots of turkeys gobbling during the spring. It's rough as a cob and steep. Good luck and God Bless
