I'd guess both are 4.5, unless they're in Illinois or Iowa. :^)

Jim you are probably correct on the age of these deer. I have several deer near my home that are indeed that old but look much younger do to less than desired food sources.
Ron your deer was a beauty last year. Its hard to tell from pictures of the jaw bone but I would guess and say that he was old that everybody thought.

If it is in Pendleton county it is 1 1/2 years old because it would have been dead by now

What do u think the age of the one on the right is? It's a buck I'm familiar with plus u can compare to one on left.

That's what I think too. Been following him for a couple of years. He has hung around on a couple of ridges the last 2 years. Trying to decide to take him or try and give him another year.

Hard for me to age a buck over 3.5 , mainly because they are so far and few between, maybe if i saw more 4.5 or 5.5 it would be easier , sure cant always go by size of antlers

Hoppie - side view of your buck looks like it has osteoporosis ... 3+ yr old ... Saxton and gobbler I would say 4+ yr olds.
