Just wanted to share some of my memories from my recent hunt with Ultimate Hunting Safaris. I can honestly say that the experience far surpassed my wildest dreams.

This was taken about 2 hours before the Kudu

All of these were taken on an archery only concession

The "Africa bug" that everyone warned me about has bitten me so hard that another hunt is already being planned.

Wow, Scott, WOW!! THere's a bunch of us here who remember the exact moment you realized you'd be going on an Archery Safari; that great abundance of happiness THEN has been surpassed by the smiles on your face, for each of these photos. Congratulations!

Dave, The bow is a Marc Lauver 50# Blair County model; shafts are Penthalon Heavy Hunter @ 11.6 gpi; BH is Grizzly Sticks @ 150 gr. Total arrow wt. is 630 gr. And Ken Trout built the string.

JD, If I had known them critters ran around Sand Flats, I could have saved my butt 17 hours of torture each way.

love the pictures, nice job. question. how many arrows did you shoot, quiver is loaded different in each photo

I shot 6 arrows total. The Eland needed 2 arrows because I "peeked" on the 1st shot causing the arrow to go low left, catching just a piece of the near lung lobe. The 2nd shot was at 10 yds. 2 hours later - clipped the heart and he still ran another 1/4 mi!
About an hour before I shot the Wildebeest, my first shot of the hunt was at the Kudu. I was standing in the blind and my upper limb tip just barely hit the top bar of the blind, sending the arrow high and into the right horn. After that all the other shots were taken from the seated position. Two days later he came back and he only went 75yds after the shot. Gemsbuck went 100 yds. and the WB went about 200.
