Here is a good site that shows one week out.
2wks over 80* and no rain. I'm gonna do a dance!
Ya Ohio me too. Hopefully the forecast changes. Nothing like hunting elk in the pouring rain.
Good luck to all the 1st hunt hunters!
Eh, these models are only as good as the info put into them, and with the variability of the monsoon moisture surges its hard to predict. It definitely doesn't look like any tropical depressions will move through which is a good thing. I hunted 2013 in the Gila and it was a little too wet. Either way you'll be chasing elk and not working. Cant be better than that.
Jbone, Totally agree 1000%. Ya 13 was mess in the gila. Just blessed and happy to have a tag. Crazy I was at a friend's watching the fight last weekend. I lady there told me her friend was selling his tag in 16a 2nd season for $400. I said you can't just sell your draw tag. She responded ya they do it every year just get a docs note and gnf will transfer it. I was ticked to say the least when I heard that. Made a awkward evening.
Adam, this is directly from the G and F handbook. Life threatening injury? And does that allow him to sell it? I don't think that is following the intent of the rules. Maybe you should say something.............

Weather men play the guessing game. If God wants it to rain its going to rain.
I am hoping for partly sunny skies, SSE wind 2 to 5 mph, and highs in the mid 60's and low's in the low 30's when it's my turn.
A few golden aspens would be awesome too.
Looks like the high might move off so we might get some rain soon!! No more waiting it's go time, I am outta here in the morning for the Gila and will finish the month out hunting a draw unit in Colorado, hopefully I will get lucky and get some time to regroup before I head north. Good luck everyone!!
JP, sounds like you have your hands full in a good way. Good luck on a double! Good luck to all as well!
Good luck to everyone! I head to 16A in one week. Pretty hard to focus on work right now.
^^^ if I had a nickel for every minute I thought about my hunt, I would have a lot of nickels...
I was done by 7 am opening morning! 4 X 5. Packed out and home by 6 or 7 pm!
