Recently traveled to scout Elk creek wma and found a mining guard shack. Contacted DNR through RD Bailey visitor center. We lost the lease and active mining going on. Just thought I'd pass info along, good luck and stay safe 2017 hunting season

Did the state lose the lease on the wma, or did you lose your hunting lease?

State lost the lease which was through a timber company A.K.A. coal company. DNR din't even have the guts to advertise they'd lost lease
