Please don't get me wrong, Vermont is a beautiful state and I still spend a lot of time there, built a log home there in 1972. I haven't missed a bow season since 1969, so I have seen the good and bad. I will not hunt there this year, I believe I will spend my time south of the border. At one time there were as many as 10 people hunting out of my camp, no one comes up any more and a lot of the locals do not bow hunt anymore. there is a reason for that, there is much better hunting elsewhere. Regulations have taken the fun out of it. Will try and add a few pics of some deer I WILL be hunting in my home state.

There is a 4th buck, a nice 8pt, top of the picture, will send a better pic, that is a mock licking branch and synthetic urine on the ground they are responding to in July !!

Rob, you are a lucky man ....old i also have pics in the same spot of coyotes on a regular basis . I have only seen three fawns one other time in Vermont many years ago

My Iowa buck I killed this morning. Not the biggest, but an old warrior. 15 yard shot, 9pt, 18” inside spread, 126”.
