Starting a new thread for the 2017 5C Doe Hunt. Please, let's try to keep this thread "on-topic".
Perry, Michael and I put on over 4 miles walking some of the 5C properties. Beautiful day to be out and about; and the deer sign we saw wasn't bad either!!!

The deer were hitting many food sources. Here you could see where they trampled the grass and weeds at the base of a pear tree trying to reach the fruit

We also saw where they mowed down soybeans in several fields.

Here is one of the fields where there were highways coming out of the woods, and there was evidence of them browsing across the cut hayfield and then hammering the corn. We walked the edge of the corn here and like Dan said, you would be lucky to find an ear in the first 4 rows!

Hey, Mike got his first deer with a bow that night, wearing shorts; he may be wearing shorts again this year if he's superstitious, regardless of the temps!

Going to be warm like the last few years, deer will still be moving though. I was out today checking some farms and there's heavy trails and crop damage everywhere. Not to mention lantern flies all over. Can't wait to see everyone in a few short days
