My friend John fell from a tree stand 13 year ago and is paralyzed from the waist down. Kansas has a special disabled and youth hunt this week and yesterday on day 6 John got this great buck with a 26 yard shot with his compound. He could use any weapon but loves the bow. This is his first buck with a bow since his accident. Forest Bows and his wife did a great job setting blinds for John and it was an honor to be involved to help. THANKS to the great state of Kansas for making this dream come true. Good luck this seaso to everyone. C

Technically the hunt time is designed for youth. The disabled kind of came as an afterthought, but some do use it. Some friends got a quadriplegic a nice buck Wednesday evening. He aims with his chin, and sucks on a tube to fire. He's shot nice bucks four of the past six years. The other years rains made it impossible to get him into the fields.
