Free Raffle
In honor of the opening of the 82 nd. Wisconsin bowhunting season I am having a free raffle for a copy of my book THE HISTORY OF WISCONSIN BOWHUNTING. If you'd like to be entered in this raffle, just post a message here letting me know you're "in" or are interested. On October 1st. I'll draw one entry and will announce it on this forum. I will then will send out a signed copy of the book free of charge to the lucky winner.
(P.S. - the book traces the introduction and development of bowhunting in Wisconsin from the very earliest days pretty much to the present. It tells what happened, who did what, when, and why. Plus it talks about the evolution and development of our bowhunting tackle. 325 pages. Paperback. Numerous historical photos.)

Tweed - You bugger! (...only kidding, ha ha!)
That bow on the wall,...about a 1950 Bear Grizzly or Kodiak (decals are missing) with aluminum lamination given to me by my uncle. He used it when he was a young airman in Alaska in early 1950s. He made the quiver back then,...probably bought the arrows, they have 1950s era Zwickey Eskimo bhds. on them. As far as I know he never killed any game with archery tackle. He bowhunted in WI in the late 1940s, now nearing 90 years old, for sure one of the old timers in this game! Their efforts allowed us the sport we have today. Buck is from Halloween morning in '07.
please count me in and great buck!
Guess that buck got a trick and you get one heck of a treat.
I'm In. Thanks for offering this book.
I'm in, thanks for the chance
Pretty nice Bill. I have an autographed copy that I bought direct from the writer. lol. I do give a copy of your book & a copy of Beamers books away at the convention in the Directors raffle. I like to shop local.
Brought this back up so it does not get completely buried & lost. This gives those who might not have seen the original post notice & a chance to enter. Just a little over a week to go! Good luck to all!
I'm in, eventhough i never win any raffles.
A lot of interest in this book . I hope everyone who doesn't win one , buys one .
I will give it a try...I'm in.
