Ok so who thinks Ill get a ticket, towed, or just told to move on? I'm planning on doing an over night in Pachaug SF. I'm planning on driving in parking on a Side RD with my camper hunting that night moving to where I want to morning hunt then sleeping in my camper over night. Any one know of any laws against this? I will not be trying to draw attention to my self and will not be having a fire or BBQ off the side of the RD. My camper is too big to bring down the dirt RDs (24ft) And "NO, I WILL NOT PAY A DIME TO CAMP" Its not the money, its the principle of the hole thing.

You can camp in most if not all Walmart parking lots for free.

Not me that's camp ground, I don't even want to camp... just sleep in my camper on the side of the road. BBB I've seen some NICE racks at Walmart :)

Better off calling them..probably some stupid law that would consider it camping as long as your on state land..

You want to drive your 24 foot camper into Pachaug, park on the side of the road, and stay overnight.

But, you're not camping...

I would like to see you explain that to a CO, with a straight face..

Coming from out west, the camping regulations here.... just don't understand. Guess it's to keep people from occupying every square foot, but.....

GF I'm from Oregon I don't understand them either

Its not law enforcement you have to worry about... its the local neighbors that will call in suspicious vehicles... Police will then be forced to make a contact.

When I was in high school I used to "camp" on the side of back roads all the time with my girl friends, but it didn't last all night,.......just 3-4 hours. Not bragging, just saying.

You can stay in the parking lot at foxwoods for free if it's not too far from where your hunting.See campers there all the time.

You know, I think that is the ONE thing that might actually get me to drive into the parking lot at a casino…

If I were really good, I would figure out how to talk my wife into dropping me off somewhere so that I could just disappear for a couple of days. But of course, you're not allowed to do that either.
