Got my venison back from the butcher this evening. Saved the antlers for my dogs. It's cool to see how the antlers hadn't hardened all the way through. Then again I never shot a buck in September

Was that your buck that was still in velvet in the cooler?

No. Mine was the head on the floor in the corner lol. The velvet buck was cool, never saw one up close.
