Bow and spear & Spike, Good shooting. I usually cave in and break out the compound but as bow and spear stated you can't serve two masters. This year is go trad or go hungry. I may go hungry but it will be fun. From top to bottom, self bow, bear super kodiak 55#, Hollenbeck longbow 67#, Samick stingray 50#. Will use the stingray with tapered cedars, wild turkey feathers and grizzly heads.

X2 on the respect ,I would love to switch someday, but I think it would take a long time before I would have groups like that. I watched a few Fred Bear videos years ago and I was hooked. I shoot a Bear attitude that my boys got me after starting with my old bear whitetail 2. 28 1/2 inch draw, 60lbs. Rest is a QAD HD, HHA single pin, arrows are 5mm full metal jackets ,400s, 10.2 grains per inch, 100 grain Grimm Reaper whitetail specials, total arrow is a hair over 400 grains. I have no idea what the fps is,but I know that combination just wants to go through stuff! Not sure if it's the KE,or just got lucky with setup, but you know the old Indian saying, if it ain't broke...

J, just stop with that. Those darn Halons, with the really pretty giant cam's, and sexy look... ;) Not to mention the draw and way they feel on the shot... I may not be able to resist any longer and could end up putting the 82 on the shelf next year...

True. I played with one at ArcheryPlus last year, but refused to shoot it when Brett offered because I knew what may happen... Up in Kittery this past spring, (played at the beach, stopped on the way home), I was lusting, I mean looking at them and the sales guy got me to shoot one.
Bastard!
For the first time in my life I actually like, a Matthews. Awesome feeling bow in all ways.

I have a creed that is now I think 3 years old. Love the damn thing. When I was at Reedys a couple weeks ago I grabbed a halon and it felt real nice in the hand. I refused to shoot it. because the last thing I need is a dent in the bank account. A few more years and I will get another of the newest Mathews bows that come out. Sweet bow!!!!

He killed several nice deer with this bow and I got my first 11-11-14 with this bow. Shooting axis carbon with Grim Reaper 2" mechanicals. Lumenoks too! Let's Go
