Yea I actually have some real nice bucks on the trail cameras this year so it's kind of exciting. Gonna try for one of then now.

Good luck! I've got 3 good bucks and a lot of small 10-13 inch 8s. The 3 good ones are nice and I've killed ones like them before and have been happy. But I think with all the mast we have this year if they make it to next year they are going to be really nice. I know it's a risk but I'm going to leave them alone and try while keeping my fingers crossed. :^)

I don't like it either but the more I am out there the better chance I have. Lots of guys don't like the bitter cold either but I hunt then too.

Yep JR you have to go to be successful and I do commend you! I can handle the heat but the bugs just irritate me too much anymore. Hoping it cools some before the end of October thru November - plan to be out about everyday then!

JayD regarding bugs, have you tried a Thermacell? Those have worked great for me both in the bear woods of Maine and the hog swamps of Florida.

Thanks David! I actually have looked at them but just haven’t bought one yet. It’s not be cause of the price or even if they work or not - I just hate carrying extra stuff with me! LOL just to plain stubborn I guess!’ You may have talked me into though!

Another vote for the thermacell jayd. Pick up one of their cases too. It has a clip on the back. Makes it easy to clip it to a pack, belt, or even a pocket while walking to your stand.

Yea I have been seeing some good bucks on one of my places. Kind of nice to know they are there. I have a video of a guy that touched one of my treestands. It was hilarious.
