Vx-1 3x9 compact on my tc omega and I love it. Tremendous scope, zero hasn't moved in yrs. Why the X1? Found it on sale and went with it. Real glad I did! Can't go wrong with a Leupold in my mind.

They might be stabbing you a little but not bad, I'd go with it. Try to get them to throw in the base, rings, and mounting for that and it's a steal. I paid $200 for mine but that was forever ago. Originally put it on my Rem. 860 smoothbore pump.

Ok will do. And ty. For all the help

VX 1, fantastic scope.... don't get a 3x9. Way too much scope for around here. Go 2x7.

I have a 2x7 on my muzzleloader and a 3x9 on my rifle. I am selling the 3x9 and going to 2x7 because its even too much for my rifle, let alone a muzzleloader.

The difference between 7 and 9 power is very marginal, especially around here and even at 200 yards. However, the difference between 2 and 3 power is huge at close range and when you are walking and need to acquire a target quickly. I hate my 3x9.

Ok sweet ty for that info. Deff will go with 2-7

X2 for 2-7. I have a 3x9 Burris on my muzzleloader. Never moved it beyond 3x and have killed a lot of deer with it. I won't change it now but if I had to do it again I'd go with a 2x7 or even a 1x4.

I? have a 1x4 and my 54 year old eyes no longer like it. At 100 yds I? barely can make out the orange bull. I’ll be in scope market quickly.

If you have shots at 100+ yards by all means the extra magnification is ok. But the longest shot for me in MA has been 60 yards. 4x is plenty for me where I hunt.
