Sat in the rain this afternoon. Haven't seen much in the woods the past week. Rain was off and on in zone 4s. Around 4pm I had 2 does come in on the top of a grass hill about 40 yards out. Itching to fill my doe tag but couldn't take the shot as they never came down off the top and the other side is a quarry that will eat my arrow if I shoot high. Any calls that might make a feeding doe come in closer?

Sing out : "I have low expectations and I make a lot of money " . Works well enough . Or , "You look wonderful and I'm sorry for being a man ... Will you fix me ??? " That works too. Or the old stand by ... "Wanna talk about yourself ? " You'll have em flocking around you .

Or a "social call" if your feeling normal. They usually feed closer to that.

I find cocktails and a cheese platter will often draw them in.

Set up on the trail they came out on before hitting the grass hill, that’s what i would do.

Best to listen to Oneday121o ,

But, There is always the "Fart wheeze" if the other "normal stuff" doesn't work . When they come to scold you they will turn their heads as it hits them , often an involuntary squint too . That's when you draw and shoot.
