Hopefully he can somehow kick this arrow and heal up. It's hard to believe this shot wasn't fatal.

you get some interesting photos,,,, an animals life can be tough at times, that is for sure,,,,, as far as being fatal, no penetration, could be at such an angle, that is just inside the skin, I have seen that once, while butchering deer

No way that’s a real pic unless the arrow deflated the deers head

Deer isn't in proportion. Something isnt right with that photo.

Someone shrunk his head.

Deer is probably swelled because he is sick from the shot. Id bet he is slowly dying. Certainly not a picture for the internet.

It is distorted because it is a phone photo off a monitor at an angle.

Nothing else in the picture is distorted besides the deers head. If he was swollen from the wound, his legs wouldn’t be in proportion to his body like they are. Not sure what the motivation is but something is off

What's the source of the pic? From one of your game cameras or what?

The Facebook page I follow. The guy that posted it claims to have gotten the pic on his trail cam. Said he was hoping to put him out of his misery during gun season.

There was a different one posted yesterday with a crossbow bolt through the neck of a doe. This looks like an arrow to me.

Might have the Zicca virus .

Definitely a Panamanian white tail with Zika.
