Public land black bear

It has been said Wisconsin is in the top 5 best states for public land black bear hunting. Anyone tell us what county to look at? Would love to go bowhunting for one.

Look at any maps that show public land. Pretty much all public land up there has bears to be found. But realize that baiting bears costs money, time, and sweat. You won't be the only one out there either. Rules vary as to what kind of stands you can put up or leave up depending if it is federal, state, or county land. Wolf are another factor to consider, they can affect your hunting.
