So I don't know if you guys remember this but on a topic of a lost Buck I said that I shot mine and I couldn't find them we spent hours and hours and hours trying to find this buck that night and the next morning never to be seen of well I never gave up and I've been combing the area ever since small chunks of the thicket at a time and I finally found him my personal best buck

He was shot around a month ago but I knew he was dead and around the area because I saw a bunch of buzzards in the area about a two weeks after I shot him

In the next thicket over about 250yrds from where I last saw him he was bedded so I backed out and came back in the next morning and he was gone. I looked with a buddy of mine for 3 hours that morning never found anymore blood or sign so I thought he made it, until I saw the buzzards. Between two friends and I we spent 14 man hours looking for him

Congrats in finding him and getting closure! Way to stick with it. That’s a nice buck. I would have gotten a shoulder mount though. Any taxidermist could get you a new hide.

Oh just want you guys to know this was with no cameras and no bait. Just hoof and shit size is how I knew a big boy was in there.

The size of the terd has nothing to do with the size of the buck. Just means you a bid a-hole. Not you, the deer.:)

Yup I’ve seen those huge clumps come from a doe that was at my cam. I used to think that as well but it has to do with what a deer eats however if it is the size of moose crap then you know it may be a big boy!

My Brother is/was a biologist, now a warden. He told me he was taught that if its clumped together in one big piece that the Deer was laying down and sh*t quickly from where it was bedding.
If it's in small pellets it has been walking or standing for awhile. They have a 4 chambered stomach so digestion is different from a human. I've heard hunters say its a Buck turd, it could be but could be a Doe too.
