An almost 30 degree temp drop from Wednesday, barometer is up and rising, rain the day before - I think Turkey Day is going to find a few deer on the meat pole! (I sure hope I'm hanging one of them!)

I’ve had good luck on Thanksgiving in past years. In fact, I shot my first deer on Thanksgiving years ago a 4 point.

saw an incredible chase with multiple does and mature bucks at about 10:00 last thanksgiving on my way out of the woods. I had my eye on that upcoming weather too. of course one of the best weather days we've had is on thanksgiving... that said i'll be out in the morning

I hope all of you get 1. I had my chance and blew it on a decent 8-pt.

My analysis of the charts suggests that 10:18-10:22AM will be the optimal time to be out tomorrow. To be on the safe side I will be in the tree at 10:16.

My comfort from freezing my butt off in a tree will come from knowing you’re all doing he same!

Good luck tomorrow!

I'm heading out as well for a quick morning hunt, battery heated socks and all!

I’m heading out tomorrow but haven’t had time to find a good spot for a tree stand. I’m wondering should I bother with stand if I’m not going to be out there all day or hunker down near a tree.

My buddy shot this 1 at 7am this morning on a private piece that we hunt in zone 11. He grunted him in. There were other bucks chasing so it's still on around here.

Can't be zone 10 because I did my rattle bag the other day in zone 10 and scared them all away.

That's a great buck for your buddy Fran! They are still chasing the girls, my 4 point today followed my trail in, I sprayed my boots with a little buck bomb and that brought him right to me at 11:00am.
