Had this happen to me on Friday. I was shooting my bow in my back yard like any other time. I nocked an arrow drew back and on the release my arrow exploded. Pieces went everywhere and the sting slapped my arm and ripped off my arm guard. I’m shoot Maxima 250 reds. Thank god no damage to me or my bow but it scared the crap out of me. Be sure to check ur arrows for any dings. Could’ve been a lot worse if any of the arrow hit me.

Most compound shooters I know do not use arm guards. Glad to hear you are OK.
