I have a few that I need to send out. I'm going to have to finally do that this week. Its always nice to see how wrong we are at guessing age.

I have mine aged by tooth wear by a friend that ages for NY State DEC. Accuracy drops significantly after 3.5 years of age though. The buck I got this year he feel is between 6.5 and 7.5. My history with him suggests this age too. I don't run cameras but a guy who hunted across the street does and has years of pictures of this deer. He believes it to be older than 7.5. I sent the teeth out 2 weeks ago to find out for sure. What lab is everyone using? This is my first time sending teeth out for aging.

i use the deerage.com...that should be interesting....me and the hunting buds I have been shocked....we had one deer from Ontario we thought was 4.5 and he was 7.5 and another from Maine that was 5.5 we were think 6.5....

Yeah, I found deerage.com on the QDMA website and used them. I didn't pay for the faster results. It's just kind of neat to know. I wish I had sent out some of the Doe jaws over the years. I had 2 that based on wear were "well over 10.5" which no one knows the age for sure but they were probably quite old. A guy who works for the NY DEC had killed a real old Doe and decided to send it out a while back. It came back something in the mid teens!

I use deerage.com as well. I got one 2 years ago in big woods mass they aged at 9.5 years old.....we knew he was old. and honestly worst tasting deer I've ever got lol
