I've never actually owned a new bow or had one fitted to me. I would like a shop that I can shoot a few to figure out what works best, then get the bow set up. Any recommendations for a shop within an hour of the Beto Junction area? A friend recommended Overton's in Lawrence.

If i was as close as you, i think i would drive to Carters Archery and have Mike do his thing and Crackerize a new bow.

x2 on Overtons. John has set up 3 bows for my family; Mine and one each for my sons', ages 7 & 9. 9 yr old made his first ever archery kill on a longbeard this past spring.

I’ll recommend Overtons to anybody. Went up there today. Walked out a better Archie’s with a new bow. Learned I was doing so much wrong. I’m already shooting tighter groups than I ever did with my last couple bows. Amazing the difference proper draw length, a properly tuned bow, and a little coaching will make.
