My mom was the "Punisher" and the wooden spoon was her 2nd choice behind the 2 inch wide leather belt hanging from the pencil sharpener in the kitchen. I deserved every beating I ever got, but today she'd be in jail for abuse! She had 4 kids and all of us turned fine, no drug or alcohol problems, good jobs, good marriages, etc. Not sure what she did but sounds like she beat the good into us and beat out the bad I guess.

Shiiiit, first the nuns would beat me..then my mom when i got home...if i was lucky the viens in my fathers head werent bulging out meant he didnt know anything yet..but when he did..the viens would buldge the teeth would grind the belt came off double wraped in record time...it took me years later to figure out that he was actually ok and i was the dick...lol. kids now have no clue

It is absolutely true that a person's character is measured in solitude when nobody can see him. I have seen a lot of people in my life who try to be very innocent and good on public places but indeed they are not good persons in their personal life at home.
