I saw a young buck in neighbor's food plot today with one antler missing. Can we blame lack of acorns for early drops? Less nutrition?

Saturday night, leaving my hunting spot in NY (5 miles from Ct line) a deer was hit by a car. I stopped to drag it off the road and it was a fresh shed buck. I went back later with a better flashlight and back tracked him to both his sheds where he jumped a stone wall. Based on tooth wear he was 5.5-6.5 years old

Found this in MA last week. I Have pics of the deer with antlers on 19th ans 20th. Drop tines right side.

seems like the buvks dropped earlier this year...I wonder if the less acorns had something to do with it....
