Damn double posts when my fingers are cold and I'm in a poor reception area. LOL

The Balsam turn brown and the needles stay on for 2-3 years. I've been picking up artificial Christmas trees at the curb and using their branches also. I always add 3-4 real balsam branches each year as I'm doing shooting lanes anyways.

Indoor stuff for me. I put together knives from warthog tusks and other African critters horns. Also make the sheathes and some pistol holsters from leather.

Trapper I really like those blinds. do you have any luck deer hunting out of them?

From: Trapper
29-Dec-17
Rut, I only sat in 1 once for bowhunting and I could've shot at a small buck 8 yards away. I'm actually building them for the future when I cant climb tree stands any longer. I did shoot 2 turkeys though with the bow.

My winter project is funding my projected fall hunting ventures and any gear upgrades. Invented, prototyped and started molding a few widgits (lithium battery holders and magazine loaders).

Same deal with these magazine loaders. My thumbs were sore after a range day...and I had a 3D printer, so I made a prototype for myself, then a buddy, then another, then another so I made a mold and now it's a winter project.

Tweed, hidden tang. I've done some full tang but it is a fair amount of work shaping the tang to fit each individual tusk.

Thanks Trapper.

I'm not as talented as CaptMike and YZF but I did make a few more trail camera mounts for screwing into pieces of firewood out in the field or any place the correct tree wasn't available.

I did the same as Trapper with the trail camera mounts. I found the idea off of Pinterest last year. I went to the hardware store and they set me up with everything after seeing my picture that I brought in. Works perfect and its a bonus for mounting my video camera on my turkey hunts.

L2H, that walleye does not look that big with just the stick to compare it to. You need to take a new pic with a can of beer next to it for reference. Just don't use an 8 ounce can with the fish held 3' in front of it. ;-)

Yes, it is a photo after I did some processing in Photoshop. I have a business selling my artwork and like to do more than just take a photo so I will work with layers and textures.
