We left South Florida and 80 degrees on Monday evening, by the time we hit Jacksonville it was 30, Georgia was 15, temps hit 5 in North Carolina. I'm hunting this weekend, be frozen in a saddle in Rhody, until I can't take it anymore. Still hopeful to put one more in the freezer before I go begging for roadkills.
Who else is out there, and where?

Well, I have to check on the probably collapsed ground blind. Then there's this big white oak I like late season. But I won't be optimistic, just watched my backyard herd leave for their pound once the snow was done. But if I can get an hour in, who knows what I'll see?

Last weekend was too cold. No deer were moving and I don't like busting them out of their ponds when the snow is deep.
This weekend though, I am watching the weather. Either after the rain on Saturday afternoon, and/or Sunday morning. I got that new grinder and it's looking like I need some sausage!

So tomorrow rain is supposed to stop in Rhody around noon. I'll be in my saddle in the corner of a field off of bedding shortly after. Temps dropping hard throughout the day. If no luck tomorrow by dark, Sunday morning 15 degrees and 10mph wind ought to get them moving. Last few weeks and I refuse to give up!
