Now I use just a top, it goes about 3/4, and it rolls up neatly on my back,,,, I put it on, when I set up. I also have light gloves on, and full guile hat. I have had incredible luck with it, having had animals come awful close because of it,,,,, you can get away with some movement, but you need to move slooooooow when doing so.......
You have to set it up, so you can shoot from it,,,, that means your bow arm needs to be clear, and some more expensive guilles have material sewn over that part,, to free it up from the jute material. I have found a inexpensive OD military sock, from the surplus store works just fine, sliding it up over the material................
If I was only going to have one item, in the guile family, it would be the hat, it works that well......
Of course you need the wind, but I like my system. You have to be careful, I have had public land hunters, walk by me so close, squirrel hunting, I could have grabbed their legs,,,,,,,, I would not use it, on crowded public land, with lots of small game hunters...
It has been very effective in the northwoods,,,,,, I bought mine at the Military Surplus store, in Fond Du Lac Wis, it only cost me 59.00,,,, it is a snap system and very light, buy it extra large.......
You can go on You Tube, and look up Marc Anthony, his career went out the window with a deer controversy, but the guy developed his how suit, which Bush Rag company sold for awhile,,,, I saw it at a deer show, it was very well designed and made, you can still find them, if you are right handed, on line.....
I also have a system for the woods, you can see this on line also. I have a Southern California Pack Mule. It is a molded light pack frame, that I can attach anything too, and weighs next to nothing, and has a built in seat.... check that out on line, they sell more packs, than anyone else in the country,,,,,,, anyway, my day pack and guile is on that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you do not need that, its just the system I have developed, since I carry also my 360 stool with it.................................
Everything I have, is dark, including my fletching, brown and black,,,, I use a lighted nock, so that solves finding the arrow problem,,,,,, On my recurve I attach guile material, on the limbs,,,, I am a little extreme, but I like to shoot close,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
On my compound, I have sprayed that down, also,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, You probably do not even to do all this stuff, but to me, it works,,,,,,, Note to Self, stand up and wave your arms, when eating lunch, and having a bear walk to you, that is another story for the day
good luck
With the guile, many times, I just sit on my stool, where ever is a good spot,,,, most times just tuck into the brush or blow downs..... love them blow downs,,,, my friend this winter used a snow camo one in the log jobs, deer never had a clue
Here is my tip,,,, Do not give up any hunting style, why would you? Your there to kill deer,,,, you hunt the deer, and use the best option available,,,,,,, too many guys are not adaptable, they will not hunt, where the sign is, because there are no trees,,,, never understood that?
I use my system because I hunt a lot of public land,,,, I have 64 acres now in Vernon County, family land in Waupaca, and mine in MI, but if I stayed on private land only, I would go nuts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, like to see the country
