Just seen a thread on leather wall about a possible change in Ohio that no bucks can be taken till after 12/2,on public lands.anybody hear that.

I have not heard this. We had a ODNR officer at a Local club meeting 2 weeks ago and this was not mentioned.

Wildlife council is still working on it.all the other seasons are set,but not deer season,so something is in the works.

It don't think it says antlered can not be taken until after dec 2. It says only antlered can be taken after dec 2. Which means no antlerless can be taken after dec 2. I think the wording is a bit confusing.

I'm not seeing either sex mentioned on public land.this is a damn confusing proposal,if anybody has the skinny on this,jump in.

Hey Box, the proposed is not going to state the current law only the proposed change. Which is antlered deer only after Dec 2nd. Nothing else would be mentioned since not changing. That’s how I read it. Definitely not well written.

I sent an email to odnr this morning asking for clarification on this confusing proposal.I've read and reread the proposal,and nothing is mentioned about either sex on public land till 12/2.only anterless.I'll see if they answer.
