Hey guys, anyone know reliable rancher with pack horses for hire for packing out meat in the Arapaho National Forest area?

That's a big area! Maybe narrow down your location to the nearest town.

Just any rancher can't legally pack for you. As a commercial activity, the packer needs to be permitted. Generally that means outfitters in the area.

You should check with the Arapaho-Roosevelt NF HQ to find out who is permitted to outfit in the area you plan to hunt. Not every outfitter is permitted for every area of the NF.

Glunt@work, this is why I’m checking into it now, but last year we talked to a couple hunters up there who said there were permitted guys who will pack out for you. We can always visit local shops there and look for advertising to pack, but wondered if there were guys out there who get referrals from local area hunters?
