Regardless of what is going on, I'd like to see pictures of the stuff, other than bows, that is hanging on the walls.

Ah, yes, a wonderful plate of Chris's fixins to go along with the bow building. It simply did not get any better than that!

Roy and friends, I have one too many chestnut trees in my yard and was wondering if anyone would like to incorporate it into a bow. I am not sure if it is hard enough. It is pretty fiberous wood. It looks like there is a relatively straight piece of trunk that might be long enough. Picture to follow.

Limb on the right is 3 feet in circumfrence, over 1 foot in diameter, as is the third one from the right. Other two are a little over 2 feet c. I can get a good 5.5 foot log from the one on the right, 4.5 foot log on the other thicker one.

Art, that's a generous offer, but chestnut isn't great bow wood. It's light and porous. Perhaps the heartwood could be used as veneers under clear glass if it were pleasing to look at, not sure, but I wouldn't attempt a bow with it otherwise.

None that I recall, but I will let you know. Had some in Montgomery county 10 miles from the city limits of Philly. I will keep the eyes open.
