Hello all. With spring approaching, so are the mosquitos . Be absolutely sure to protect yourselves and family from the mosquito transmitted WNV. It is more common than you think although most infected people have no symptoms. Only 20% get mild cold flu type symptoms and possible rasH. 1% get life treating meningitis and ,or encephalitis, which I did in August 0f 2017. I was lucky and am here. Future prognosis is unclear, but it seems to be starting to show damage to people who had no symptoms at all in past. Use repellents and thermcell, don’t end up like I did. Out work 3 months, 6 day coma.

The virus also led to a huge die off of grouse in the U.P. Of MI. and northern WI. Not only killing adult birds but whole broods. Grouse hunting will be bleak come this fall.
