Guys I just saw over 50 post on the resident fee increase... I know we should have more traffic than that when it comes to saving and increasing access. So please join us on Thursday the 29th at 7:00 pm in the Rifle High School Auditorium.
We are trying to support the CPW by working in partnership with Caerus Oil and Gas. Our goal is to save existing hunting access to over 10,000 acres near Rifle.
Visit our Facebook page here... Join the group and try to take the Survey... Share with everyone you know. Power in numbers...
Done, never could get the link to work in your first thread...it worked here
Thanks for all your doing! If I can find child care support from my wife, and the roads are decent I will make the 4 hour drive to rifle for this important meeting on this important parcel of access. Sounds like not only is the private land access big, but thousands of acres of landlocked public are at stake.
hope you get hundreds of completed surveys from bowsiters
You have anything for us non facebook users?
Ditto to john’s comment about those of us not on social media that would like to help support your cause!

I'm not leading this one, but try this link for the survey that has a summary of the issue.
Thanks Steve, I filled one out, hope it helps!
Thanks guys. I am glad Steve picked up the survey link.
Tomorrow night is a big deal... Hope it goes well.
Yes - Steve's link worked just fine. I'm "in".
I took the SURVEY. Thanks for all that you are doing. Please keep us posted on how things are going. I'm keeping my fingers crossed........badbull
I wasn't able to attend the meeting. Was curious how it went? Any timeline on when they'll make their decision? Thanks
The public meeting went well. There were 51 people who attended the public meeting, which was a lot compared to other meetings I have attended in the area. The meeting focused on 2 major points, one collecting support for retaining access to the leases, secondly how poorly we do as a state at getting leased hunting access.
Out of the meeting, we had the county commissioner offer a resolution to support our efforts. We also got verbal support from the Rifle Chamber of Commerce and Rifle City Council. We have had a couple article hit the papers. Both in the Grand Junction Sentinel and Glenwood Post Independent.
As of right now, no access, no hunting, etc. But tomorrow the CPW has plans to meet with Caerus Oil and Gas in an attemt to find some resolution.
For us at RAAP we will continue our push in the area. We have learned about other access programs in other states and feel that by taking the best aspects of all the states we can work on increasing access through out the state.
