Hey all,

Thinking about coming over for a non res. hunt this year. Can anyone chime in to how much bow hunting pressure southern MN receives?

Any season in May is good and it seems like there are not many turkey hunters around. If you get the archery tag I think almost any farmer would let you hunt. Scout from the roads early mornings knock on doors in the afternoons.

Very little pressure because 95% of the hunting is on PRIVATE land. If you got a place to hunt on private you'll have a good hunt...unless of course you're in the CWD area where the DNR is hellbent on leather to kill every last deer before the season ever gets here..

Ah did not realize it was all private. Any decent public to speak of? Pm is ok.

Whitewater management area. It's big enough that you can have a great hunt.

IMO, Whitewater can get crowded during the weekend. Try also go before the youth gun season. Just like any gun season, the deer get spooked for weeks after, then the regular gun season happens.
