Looking for some local input on near term conditions. Ooop'sd and started this on the main elk forum. I'm on the cusp for "the big one". Not sure which unit 2, or maybe a 10 or 61 "burn". Planing a week or so trip in the next few months to re-familiarize with the area. I know May can bring a "calf killer", and will be prepared to hunker down. We are looking at 3 days of 70's to maybe 80, here on the front range, so I know it's probably not far off.
