SW Colorado turkeys

I am planning on heading to SW/ West central Co and Se UT from May 12th- 19th. I'm coming from Florida trying to pick away at my US super slam. Any suggestions? Especially for a flatlander with shot knees and a rod in his femur. lol oh this ought to be fun. Trying to narrow a starting point down between Mesa NF, Dominguez, or San Juan. I am hoping to hunt UT in the Monticello area. any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

Never hit UT but the Durango area is full of them, same with Pagosa
