Will this be the morning a mature tom will come all the way in to the arborvitaes blind? I'll soon know. I love spring turkey hunting... but getting up so early every morning after watching the Red Sox is much harder than deer season. LOL

Nice work Taz and Jimbo!! I had one gobbling on the roost this morning, right where I left him last night. He and a hen flew down and wandered off into a backyard a couple hundred yards away. I watched him follow this hen around strutting in the backyard through my binos for about an hour, just taunting me. He had no interests in my calls with the real deal right in front of him.

WTG Tazman and Jumbo! It took an hour for a Tom to close 150 yds . I could see him at 50 yds out of the blind to my 5:00 but he turned and left. He couldn't see dekes from there. Sticking it out.

Laid down this guy at 6:00 AM... strutted in from a long way out... shot him at 20 yards when he finally turned broadside...
