Flying in to Golden (Denver) Monday morning. Have training starting Tuesday morning though Thursday evening. Any suggestions on what I should do or go in the evenings while I’m there? Should be free by 17:00 in the evening. Hate to get home and find out I missed something.

Get a work out in at Red Rocks or Roxborough State Park or Golden Gate State Park.

If I was driving, I’d bring my gear. Driving a State truck to the airport. They frown on that. Might bring a pack and hit the parks to decompress. Would definitely like to hit Kifaru or Rmsgear.

Tons of great places to hike around in minutes of golden.

Definitely worth checking out the Golden High Country Archery range - even if you don’t shoot. Pretty range and some nice trails right around there as well.

RMS Gear is definitely worth dropping in. Lots of cool stuff and awesome guys just to BS with.

Do the Coors Tour.

Take a drive up I70 to Georgetown and look at the bighorns, elk, deer, and buffalo. Take the Lookout Mountain route up to I70 if you want a little more scenery.

Go down to Morrison and check out Red Rocks.

Maybe go up to central city Blackhawk and check out the casinos.

Hope you have some fun while you’re out this way!

They’ve got us going from 7am to 8pm. It’s interesting training, but doesn’t give you much free time. Looks like Friday morning will be my roam around time. I’ll fit in as much as I can. Wish I had extended my stay, but have to get back for a visitation.
