got a couple of pictures of a doe running off a coyote. Maybe she had a fawn nearby?

That is pretty cool. Looks like that deer knows how to take care of itself. Years ago I was watching a group of does and a couple fawns in a hayfield....maybe knee high...June I suppose. In the distance I saw a coyote approaching. The group of deer slowly moved off....except for the fawns, who just “disappeared”. When the coyote got to the general area where they’d been initially he began “pogo-ing” around trying to locate the fawns. The deer just watched from modest distance..... no panic. The hotel never found those fawns and left shortly......and then the fawns popped up again. Never forgot that.

The “yote”......not hotel....damned auto correct.

The bond is strong between a mom and her young... right there is nature proving it.

Not a deer in headlights but porcupine that looks like he saw a ghost.
