Just logged in and saw this. I can’t believe I drew this and with just 3 points. The really funny thing is that I was going to quit applying until I saw they only charge $3.00 for an application this year.

Are moose pretty easy to spot from the road usually? I don’t spend a lot of time in moosey areas. I hope to get one opening morning because I don’t have a lot of time to devote to this.

Nice try. There is obviously different font on the $253 specifically the dollar sign.. other than that, I'd say your photo shop acumen is advanced.. you had me fooled.. but a little more attention to detail and you could have probably carried this 'joke' for a while

Credit cards being hit for moose now. A friend from NM got hit for bull moose. According to posted draw stats wife has 2/29 odds of having been drawn for Bull at this point.

Posted on the other thread, I drew 76 bull with 3+11 points. Put in for rifle hunt, need someone to talk me into changing it to archery. Anyway, feeling dang lucky, thank you CO!!

If shooting one with a rifle interests you some, I would leave it, hunt with a bow and switch to rifle if things aren't looking good.

Switch to bow season. Bulls start cruising and are unpredictable in rifle season as the rut is coming on. And keep more of a predictable home range in bow season. There are better experts and moose guides on here with more knowledge but that has been my takeaway from 3 archery moose tags hunted and filled in Colo. Never hunter your unit (for moose) though.
Bulls are not especially hard to stalk if they are hanging in an area. Go bow if want to arrow one on a draw tag, ever.

you guys under 30 years of applying are just pups... while I know the current point system is now 3 and 18 weighted, some have been applying for 30+ years now, all said and done, one could have killed several cows and be in the running for a bull if not already drawn and quartered...

2018 Surprise: Got moose rifle tag in the 4 GMUs in South Park, Oct. 1-14!! Nice! Years back younger I harvested three other moose in Alaska and Canada, two of which were bulls. In my late 60s this for sure will be my last moose, yet hopefully the most memorable. I am a bone out and back pack out hunter yet may need pack out help with horses or lamas. Suggestions there for resources?

I was also lucky enough to draw a bull moose tag this year. Still in shock seriously never thought I would draw that tag.
