New to the forum hi everyone. Florida resident looking to go elk hunting for the first time next year with my brother's and a friend. I've got plenty of time until then so trying to get as much information as possible. Are plan is to get a OTC tag and try are luck on public land. What can be expected as far as hunting on public land, a lot of people, good success bad success. What's the weather like during that time of year we plan on coming in September. Any and all info woods be grateful for

Sorry, no OTC elk tags in Wyoming. It will likely take 2-3 years of applying to draw a General Tag, much longer for a Limited Deaw Tag. Colorado has OTC tags...
